Visit Qatar officially launched its partnership with the Nita Mukesh Ambani Cultural Centre (NMACC) in Mumbai with a gala event attended by a number of Qatari and Indian dignitaries who came together to mark the occasion in India’s famous financial capital.

The event was attended by His Excellency Mr. Saad bin Ali Al Kharji, Chairman of Qatar Tourism and Chair of the Board of Directors of Visit Qatar, and Eng. Abdulaziz Ali Al Mawlawi, Chief Executive Officer of Visit Qatar.

The evening featured the unveiling of Visit Qatar’s year-long installation at the centre, an immersive LED experience showcasing four of the country’s most iconic destinations. Visitors can step into vivid scenes of the Inland Sea, Souq Waqif, Museum of Islamic Art, or Richard Serra’s East-West/West-East in Zekreet. Engaging all the senses with striking visuals, ambient fragrance, and surround sound audio, the installation evokes the feeling of being transported to Qatar, with bespoke postcards offered as lasting mementoes.

The partnership announcement and installation unveiling were conducted in the presence of a number of other distinguished guests, including His Excellency Mr. Mohammed bin Hassan Al Jaber, Ambassador of the State of Qatar to the Republic of India, and His Excellency Mr. Ahmed bin Saad Al Sulaiti, Consul of the State of Qatar in Mumbai. They were joined by Bollywood stars and acclaimed Qatari composer Dana Al-Fardan.

The event, held under the theme “Confluence of Cultures” celebrated the synergies between Qatar and India through curated artisan showcases, including traditional sadu weaving, Arabic calligraphy, and Indian crafts like brass nakshi and pichwai painting. Guests were treated to captivating performances by the Qatar Philharmonic Orchestra, marking its debut performance in India, alongside renowned Indian Classical maestro, Rahul Sharma. The event concluded with a unique fusion dining experience, further strengthening the cultural exchange and fostering closer tourism ties between the two nations.

The partnership between Visit Qatar and the Nita Mukesh Ambani Cultural Centre will serve as a long-term platform to deepen cultural exchange and position Qatar as a leading luxury destination for Indian travellers. By bringing Qatari heritage, art, and hospitality to India’s foremost cultural venue, the collaboration seeks to inspire travel, strengthen people-to-people connections, and create immersive experiences that highlight the shared values of both nations.
