Visit Qatar is gearing up to welcome the first-ever UFC® event on 22 November 2025, marking an important moment in the nation’s line-up of major international sports events. Presented in partnership with UFC®, the world’s leading mixed martial arts organisation, UFC FIGHT NIGHT: TSARUKYAN VS. HOOKER will take place at the state-of-the-art ABHA Arena, bringing elite MMA competition to Doha for the very first time.
The landmark event underscores Visit Qatar’s commitment to growing the country’s sporting calendar with globally recognised competitions that appeal to both residents and visitors. The fight card will be headlined by No2-ranked lightweight Arman Tsarukyan and No7-ranked Dan Hooker, who will face off in a highly anticipated five-round main event. In the co-main bout, top welterweight contender Belal Muhammad, a regional favourite, will meet Ireland’s rising star Ian Machado Garry in what is expected to be a high-intensity clash.
In the lead-up to fight night, fans enjoyed an action-packed week of activities designed to bring them closer to the world of UFC. From 19–22 November, the UFC Fan Zone at Palace Vendome Mall offered interactive experiences including striking challenges, VR fight simulations, fitness activations, and photo opportunities with replica UFC belts, providing an engaging introduction to UFC culture for all ages.
On 19 November, open workouts at Doha Port will allow fans to see competing athletes refining their skills just days before stepping into the Octagon®. The ceremonial weigh-ins will take place on 21 November at ABHA Arena, featuring intense faceoffs and building anticipation ahead of Saturday’s main event.
