Visit Qatar has announced the launch of registration for the inaugural edition of IRONMAN 70.3 Doha, set to take place at Old Doha Port from March 18 to 20, 2027.
The international triathlon marks another major addition to Qatar’s international sporting calendar, further reinforcing the country’s position as a leading destination for sports tourism and large-scale global events.
Visit Qatar is inviting athletes, endurance sports enthusiasts, and fitness communities from Qatar and around the world to secure their place at the starting line of one of the region’s most anticipated sporting events. The early registration phase offers preferential rates for a limited number of entries, providing participants with an exclusive opportunity to be part of the inaugural edition of the international triathlon.
Set against the backdrop of Doha’s waterfront and iconic skyline, IRONMAN 70.3 Doha will deliver a race experience that combines sporting excellence with Qatar’s distinctive destination offering. Participants will begin with a 1.9 km swim through the calm waters of Old Doha Port, followed by a 90 km cycling course, before concluding with a 21.1 km run featuring views of Doha’s most prominent landmarks and attractions.
In addition to the main race on March 20, the event programme will also include the IRONKIDS race on March 19, creating a family-friendly sporting festival that caters to participants and visitors of all ages.
