Qatar Tourism has released a special Eid Al-Adha edition of its monthly events calendar, ‘Qatar Calendar,’ which highlights the exciting, diverse range of events on offer throughout the country during this most joyous occasion.
Ranging from thrilling adventures and exciting live performances to fun-filled children’s shows and impressive art exhibitions, residents and visitors are sure to find something to suit their preferences amongst the busy week of activities.
In addition, those in search of an Eid staycation or holiday will find plenty of options among Qatar’s varied and world-class collection of hotels. Moreover, leading entertainment venues, such as Al Shaqab, will host various festivities with unique and exciting activities for families.

Relish in Arts & Culture
Arts and culture lovers will find plenty to suit their tastes in Qatar this Eid Al-Adha, starting with an exquisite ode to haute couture at the Zwara: Focus on Forever Valentino Exhibition (M7, every day until September 10). Arts, food, and culture Workshops by Heenat Salma Farm will also be held at Place Vendôme Mall (June 29 – July 1), bringing a slice of the farm’s serene, unique ethos to busy shoppers in the city.
Exhibitions aplenty will be available for art lovers across the country, including the fascinating The Curious Desert by Olafur Eliasson (National Museum of Qatar & Al Thakira Mangrove Nature Preserve, until August 15), and the dramatic collection of paintings in Eduardo Navarro’s Free Spirits of the Wild Horses exhibition (Fire Station, until July 10).
Those in search of a little drama will not be disappointed, as a thrilling production of the famed The Black Magic Play (Abdul Aziz Nasser Theatre, June 28 – July 7) will be staged in the heart of the city. And the country’s most prestigious children’s choir, Siwar Choir (Place Vendôme, July 2-3), will enchant local audiences with two very special public performances.
Finally, a vibrantly colourful Eid Al-Adha Festival will be hosted at the Al Shaqab Longines Indoor Area over the weekend (June 29 – July 1).
Get active
Plenty of action is available for adventure seekers, including an exclusive Mangrove Kayaking Adventure (until August 31) in the crystal-clear waters of Purple Island. And on June 30, scores of runners are set to pound the pavements of Katara Cultural Village for the PSG We Run Doha 5km.
Kids can be kept thoroughly entertained with an extensive Summer Football Camp (Education City Student Centre, June 25 – 29) and a Playsport Multi-Sports & Activities Camp (Education City Clubhouse, July 2 – August 4).
Spectacular Fireworks
Doha’s sky will sparkle with fireworks during the first two days of Eid. Residents and visitors can enjoy the spectacular shows on June 28th and 29th at The Katara Corniche at 8:30 PM. In addition, Lusail City, Sa'ad Plaza will have its own fireworks show on June 28th at 8:30 PM.
