Qatar Tourism has delivered the second edition of its hospitality leadership training programme in partnership with Forbes Travel Guide. Held from 23 to 26 August at Qatar Tourism’s headquarters in Doha, the session welcomed 241 participants from across Qatar’s hospitality sector.

Building on the inaugural session held in June, the training forms part of a series of quarterly sessions taking place throughout 2026. The programme is designed to enhance luxury hospitality service delivery, align hotel operations with internationally recognised standards, support continuous professional development across the sector, and elevate the overall visitor experience in Qatar.

On this occasion, Mr. Omar Abdulrahman Al Jaber, Director of Operations Affairs at Qatar Tourism, said: “Through our continued collaboration with Forbes Travel Guide, we are working to strengthen the capabilities of hospitality leaders and enhance efficiency and excellence in service delivery, directly contributing to the quality of the experience for both guests and visitors. This programme forms part of our ongoing efforts to advance Qatar’s hospitality sector and strengthen standards of service and excellence, helping to build a more competitive and sustainable industry while enhancing the overall experience for visitors and the local community.”

Daniel Polderdijk, Executive Trainer at Forbes Travel Guide, said: “What stands out in these sessions is the willingness of participants to examine every aspect of the guest experience – with the goal of translating principles of service into meaningful moments for visitors and guests.”

Mo Rshaidat, Manager, Learning & Development at Forbes Travel Guide, said: “Service excellence is strengthened through continuous learning, reflection and practice. It is inspiring to see hospitality professionals across Qatar coming together with a shared commitment to delivering thoughtful, consistent and personalized service.”

The programme builds on the strategic engagement signed between Qatar Tourism and Forbes Travel Guide at World Travel Market London 2025, covering hotel assessments, service excellence training, standards alignment, international marketing collaboration and long-term hospitality development initiatives.
