Qatar participates in the preparatory meeting of tourism officials of GCC Countries in Kuwait

The State of Qatar participated in the meeting of Their Excellencies the Undersecretaries responsible for tourism in the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) on Sunday February 16, 2025, which serves as a preparatory step for the 9th GCC Ministerial Meeting for Tourism Officials scheduled to take place on Monday February 17, 2025, in the State of Kuwait.

This meeting is part of joint efforts to strengthen tourism cooperation among GCC countries. It represents a crucial preparatory step aimed at aligning tourism policies and enhancing integration among member states, which will positively impact the development of the tourism sector in the region.

The meeting provided a platform for dialogue and experience exchange, contributing to the development of joint tourism strategies that support tourism diversification and promote cooperation in organising events and activities that showcase the tourism potential of GCC countries.

Discussions also explored ways to enhance joint tourism initiatives among GCC countries, strengthen efforts to boost intra-regional tourism, and attract more visitors to Gulf destinations. This meeting is part of ongoing efforts to foster greater tourism integration in the region through strategic initiatives that drive sector growth and position GCC countries as unified and attractive destinations for visitors from around the world.
