The e-learning program enables workers to enhance their skills as the sector prepares for the reopening of borders.

QNTC has launched an e-learning program as part of a wider initiative to upskill staff and elevate the standard and performance of the country’s entire tourism sector.  The trainings are conducted on LinkedIn’s e-learning platform, and include topics ranging from project management, business writing and presentations to QNTC’s Service Excellence program.  A cornerstone program, it works to establish Qatar as a global leader for high-quality service across every touchpoint of the customer journey.

QNTC has launched an e-learning program as part of a wider initiative to upskill staff and elevate the standard and performance of the country’s entire tourism sector.  The trainings are conducted on LinkedIn’s e-learning platform, and include topics ranging from project management, business writing and presentations to QNTC’s Service Excellence program.  A cornerstone program, it works to establish Qatar as a global leader for high-quality service across every touchpoint of the customer journey.

Denisa Spinkova who leads QNTC’s Service Excellence team, hosted a session on the initiative, providing an overview of the strategic imperatives and way forward. With more than 20 years of experience in the hospitality, aviation and tourism industries, Ms. Spinkova presented details of the program that aims to work with stakeholders to create an unparalleled world-leading experience for visitors.

In addition to trainings, QNTC’s e-learning program offers staff access to online sessions such as the ‘Knowledge Talk Series” and the ability to participate in virtual conferences and seminars. The program also includes trainings by the Ministry of Administrative Development, Labour and Social Affairs as well as academic scholarships to complete bachelor's, master's, and doctoral degrees for Qatari employees funded by the State of Qatar.

Over the past year, QNTC continued prioritizing training and education programs.  Residents in Qatar won 25 scholarships to IE University UNWTO Tourism Online Academy, of which QNTC is a founding member.  The certification program enabled those interested in the tourism sector to enhance their skills and advance their careers in tourism management.   The initiative was part of an ongoing effort to build sector capacity during the COVID-19 pandemic.
