Shop Qatar 2021, the biggest shopping festival in the country kicks off today. The month-long festival celebrates Qatar’s retail and hospitality offerings with promotions across retail and hospitality, entertainment and fashion shows, design workshops and the ever-popular make-up masterclasses.
Organised by Qatar Tourism, the festival will continue until Sunday 10 October 2021. Festivities will take place across 15 retail partners including Qatar Duty Free shops at HIA, Msheireb Downtown Doha, The Pearl and other venues across the country, with promotions at over 60 hotels. Returning after a hiatus, this fifth edition promises to be the biggest yet.
Weekly raffle draws taking place throughout Shop Qatar offer more than 4 million QAR worth of car and cash prizes. Residents can purchase a wide range of consumer goods with discounts of up to 90 percent. Shoppers will be eligible to enter a raffle draw with each purchase worth 200 QAR. The first raffle draw will take place on Friday 17 September 2021 at Hyatt Plaza Mall, where two winners will walk away with cars, 10 with cash prizes, and 30 with other prizes.
Besides sales and promotions, Shop Qatar 2021 features entertainment aplenty. There are fashion shows by leading American designers, concerts with renowned regional artists, pop-up shops by local entrepreneurs at the Doha Design District, arts and crafts workshops, and makeup masterclasses by top artists and influencers.
