Doha Convention Bureau was established in 2003 as a new initiative of Qatar Tourism Authority. Serving as the first point of contact in Qatar, the role of this Bureau is to promote Doha for conventions and exhibitions, as well as coordinate, plan, and monitor all events in Qatar.
The Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions (MICE) market has been identified as a growth sector for Qatar. With its state-of-the-art meeting facilities, Qatar is well-positioned to host events of any size. Conference Facilities
Qatar International Exhibition Centre
Opened in 1991, the Qatar International Exhibition Centre is set in 82,000 square metre site at the heart of Doha, close to the capital’s diplomatic district and within 15 minutes’ drive of all major hotels.
An indoor exhibition hall of 10,000 square meters is complemented by an outdoor exhibition area totalling 8,000 square meters. Car parking is available for up to 1,000 vehicles, and the centre boasts 5,000 square meters of goods yards, loading and unloading bays, and container storage parks.
The exhibition hall can be subdivided to accommodate simultaneous small events. Onsite facilities include offices, meeting rooms, a VIP lounge, public lounges, business centre, a travel bureau, car hire facilities, banking services and a selection of restaurants.
